Now, we're offering custom resin flower preservation that turns your bouquet into a unique and lasting keepsake you’ll treasure for years to come.

How Our Flower Preservation Process Works

Step 1: Receive Your Flowers

We coordinate flower drop-off at our Springfield studio or can pick up from your venue (pickup fees apply based on location).

Step 2: Rehydrate the Blooms

After your wedding, we carefully rehydrate the flowers to prepare them for preservation.

Step 3: Dry the Flowers

We disassemble and dry each bloom using silica gel in a 90-day process to help retain structure and detail.

Step 4: Color Correction

Many flowers lose color during the drying process. We apply professional color-correction methods to restore their vibrancy as closely as possible.

Step 5: Resin Casting

Your flowers are artfully arranged in a custom resin mold of your choice. We use high-quality UV-resistant resin, then top-coat, buff, and polish each piece.

Step 6: Delivery

Finished pieces are ready in approximately 6 to 10 months. We’ll contact you to arrange pickup or delivery within the Springfield, MO area or via mail if needed.

Flower Preservation Details & Limitations

Preserving your flowers is a delicate, handmade process. Here’s what to expect:

  • All flowers will change color during drying and resin setting—this is natural.

  • Tiny air bubbles or imperfections may occur and are not considered flaws.

  • Resin is a chemical compound that may amber over time, especially if exposed to direct sunlight or high heat.

  • Shannon's Custom Florals will apply color correction as needed to restore your flowers to their most natural look.

Resin Care Instructions

To protect your resin keepsake:

  • Keep out of direct sunlight

  • Store in a temperature-controlled room

  • Avoid placing near windows, heaters, or fireplaces

  • No warranties are offered against discoloration due to aging or improper storage
